Appearance: White/light yellow lyophilized in a colorless transparent vial that becomes clear and transparent when dissolved in physiological saline

Injection Site: Corrugator muscle/procerus muscle(forehead wrinkles), orbicularis oculi muscles(eye wrinkles), pre-tarsal orbicularis oculi(to treat blepharospasm), masseter muscle(jaw), platysma muscle(neck), dermis(skin).
Application Areas: Treatment of blepharospasm. Improvement of glabellar lines, eye wrinkles, neck wrinkles, and other facial wrinkles. Relaxation of jaw muscles to provide a slimmer jawline. Reduction of pore size to provide a smoother skin appearance.
Maintenance Period: Several months (depending on individual)

What is Hutox 100 Unit?
Hutox 100U is a Clostridium Botulinum Toxin Type A, which temporarily improves glabella wrinkles.
How to Use Hutox 100 Unit
Preparation process before injection procedure using Hutox 100 Unit
1. Take out Hutox 100 Unit from the refrigerator
2. Before using Hutox 100 Unit, check if there are any irregularities in the product’s appearance. This product is a white freeze-dried powder in a colorless and transparent vial.
3. After filling an appropriate-sized needle with an appropriate amount of sterile, preservative-free 0.9% sodium chloride solution, slowly introduce the solution into the vial. Dilute to 100 U/2.5ml (4 U/0.1ml).
4. Hutox 100U should only be mixed with sodium chloride solution. Do not mix with other types of solutions or products. If the product bubbles up or is strongly agitated, the product’s properties change or become denatured. Therefore, make sure to slowly introduce the sodium chloride solution.
5. After Hutox 100 U is dissolved in the sodium chloride solution, it should be injected into the patient within 24 hours. If the mixture is not injected into the patient immediately, store in the refrigerator at 2 ~ 8ºC. Even if the mixture is stored in the refrigerator, it should still be injected into the patient within 24 hours.
Also, write on the label the date and time of when the product was dissolved.
After dissolving, the product should be transparent, and should not contain any abnormal substances. If the product changes color or if foreign materials are detected, do not use this product and discard it immediately.
6. Hutox 100 U does not contain any preservatives. It is not recommended to use 1 vial for more than 1 patient. After usage, the remaining product should be discarded.
7. Since each botulinum toxin product may be manufactured with a different toxin unit, the toxin unit of one product cannot be converted to the unit of another product.
How to administer Hutox 100 U
To address glabellar lines (forehead wrinkles): Using a 30 gauge needle, inject the dissolved product into the corrugator muscles and the procerus muscle (a total of 5 areas). 0.1ml of the product should be injected in each area, with a total of 20 U being injected.
When injecting into the inner corrugator supercilii muscle and the medial eyebrows, inject at least 1 cm from the edge of the eye. During injection, the needle should be aimed at the upper center, and the injection volume should be accurate. Careful attention should be paid to NOT inject Hutox 100 U into the blood vessel. To prevent Hutox 100 U from being injected into the blood vessel(exudation) below the orbital ridge, place the thumb or index finger below the orbital ridge prior to injection.
The corrugator muscle and the orbicularis oculi muscle move in the middle of the forehead to make glabellar folds on the face. The procerus muscle and the depressor supercilii muscle pull the forehead downward. These muscles create frown lines or wrinkles. Because the muscle position, muscle size, and use of muscle vary from person to person, the effective dose is determined by complete observation of the patient's ability to control the implanted surface muscles.
Certified professionals administering Hutox 100 U should fully understand the relevant neuromuscular and/or orbital anatomy of the treatment area, and also any alterations to the anatomy that have occurred due to prior surgical procedures. DO NOT use Hutox 100 Unit without a doctor’s prescription.
The following people SHOULD NOT receive Hutox 100 Unit:
- Patients who have an allergic or hypersensitive reaction to the ingredients in this product
- Patients with neuromuscular junction disorders (dysfunction at the location where nerves connect with muscles), including Myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Using this product causes relaxation of the muscle, which can exacerbate the existing disorder.
- Patients who are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or are currently nursing mothers
- Patients below the age of 16
